AMS Marketing History

AMS Marketing provides a quality, streamlined service and some of the world’s finest quality soft and top fruit to the UK retailers all neatly packaged into one innovative marketing solution.

In 1988, AMS Ltd was established as a limited marketing enterprise for the dedicated sale and distribution of fruit for a small number of growers in the south west of England. Martin Seymour developed the company with Andrew Leprovost; both strawberry growers in their own right.

Martin is managing director and has renowned entrepreneurial skills, demonstrated by the large network of sister companies around the world he has created to service the demand for quality berries year round.

The last two decades have seen a dramatic change with AMS Marketing expanding its influence in a major way across the UK and throughout the major fruit growing regions of the world. Marketing expertise remains at the heart of the operation with the core of the business centred round its Evesham production operation. Produce is supplied to the operation 365 days of the year to ensure our customers have the best possible quality fruit delivered with the professional level of service, consistency and reliability, our customers have come to expect from AMS Marketing.

The soft fruit industry is an expanding business with continuous technical innovations; product development is the key to success in this sector. AMS Marketing forecasts changing consumer demands through its close relationship with our customer base and ensures its growers are able to respond with new varieties in new seasons and with innovative packing solutions.  This has led to the successful development of our new Healthy Convenient range of on-the-go products, uniquely branded under the highly recognisable You Are What You Eat.  Two new products have been launched into the UK customer base, and demand for these products from retailers and food service is incredibly high.  The products under the You Are What You Eat brand are Berry Good Snack Pot and Berry Good Breakfast - when you come across these two fantastic products in store, at the gym or on the train, please complete our questionaire which you will find on our Research page (link at the top of the page).
